Volunteer Oportunities
APPLE DAY - Committee members plan and host Apple Day at the beginning of each school year during which fresh golden delicious apples are delivered to teachers in their schools to thank them for another year of commitment to our children. Teacher nomination forms for the Golden Apple Teacher Recognition Awards also are delivered on this day, kicking off the nomination process. GRANTS COMMITTEE - Golden Apple Foundation provides grants to Rockford Public School District classroom teachers for innovative projects that are outside the regular school budget. This committee reviews all grant requests and determine which programs the Foundation will fund.
