Golden Apple Foundation recognizes and supports teachers through the following special events each year.Apple Day - Fresh golden delicious apples are delivered in the fall to teachers in their schools to thank them for another year of commitment to our children. Teacher nomination forms for the Golden Apple Teacher Recognition Awards also are delivered on this day, kicking off the nomination process.
Nominee Reception - Each year all Golden Apple nominees and their principals are invited to attend a reception in their honor. Teachers learn about the next step in the process for the Golden Apple Teacher Recognition Award.
McDonald’s Breakfast - McDonald’s celebrates the Golden Apple teachers with a special breakfast as a way to say thank you for their hard work in the community.
Annual Banquet - The Golden Apple Banquet is the annual celebration of the Golden Apple recipients. This formal gathering honors the selected teachers and their efforts in their classrooms. Golden Apple teachers are spotlighted and present a speech regarding their commitment to children and education.
